Handles are not heat resistant! These cooking utensils are so colorful and fun to look at, I fell in love with them at first glance. However having used them for about 2 months now I have noticed the handles are definitely not heat resistant. If you leave them in the pot, the handles will melt and you end up with “scars” where the edge of the pot touches the handle. I’ve also noticed the edge of the spatula is starting to de-laminate a bit too, which is a big concern as I do not want plastic pieces to end up in the food. As much as I enjoy looking at these I don’t think I will continue to use them.

Great utensils! The set is great! It shipped quickly and arrived in perfect condition. The colors are vibrant and they look great hanging from hooks in my kitchen. They are hefty (weighted in the handle) and feel very sturdy. There’s nothing about them to indicate that they’ll suffer from repeated machine washing, but I don’t intend to test that. They are gentle on my pots and pans and show no signs of warping from heat, although I haven’t had them all that long. Some warning about the elevate feature: It works, keeping the business end of the utensil off the countertops, which is a huge plus for food safety. However, they will still drip sauce/grease onto your counter, so laying a paper towel over your working surface is a good idea. Also, if you have a utensil covered in a very thick sauce, it may be heavy enough to counterweight the handle and flop onto the counter. You’ll need to shake off a good portion of the sauce before setting the utensil down.
