Slow and will not reboot a new OS Regardless of my opinions of the W8 OS, I discovered that this computer tends to crap out pretty early than other HP units. I got a hold of this model because a friend was complaining that it was very slow and always restarting; it was running stock with Windows 8 on board. So the nice guy that I am, it took a look at it and made sure that if something would not work out, that they would be fine if I put W7 or Ubuntu on it.Long story short, I discovered that the original HDD was toast. It would not boot up W7. The format for the HDD was not NTFS which is used to run W7 so I had to reformat. After installing the new OS, it would not boot so I can set up the user information so I replaced the HDD with a different one I had laying around, booted up, and it is running just fine right next to me on a 32bit interface.I have always had problems with HP, Dell, and Samsung with very similar problems over the years.Update: It appears that W7 is not finding the WiFi card. To save it, I might need to run Kubuntu or Ubuntu. I will keep you posted on what I find.
Great Computer I bought this for my oldest son, for when he moves out. This is really nice & it’s preloaded with windows 8. He almost got mine so I could have this one for myself.
