Affordable All in one What I’m going to touch on here are the things that I found most important about this machine when I installed it for a client of mine. This machine is perfectly acceptable under most standards for daily computer usage. The stand is perfectly stable, and everything is good. However, there are some things you should be made aware of.* The keyboard and mouse are indeed wired. That is odd for an All-In-One system. Most of these systems come with a Bluetooth pre-paired wireless set. This may be a good thing for you though, as I have had plenty of calls related to dying Bluetooth keyboards, and people do not know how to change the batteries in them. No, I’m not joking.* The power cord is not standardized. They use their own power cord…..know what that means? It’s more susceptible to breakage. That’s right, money for HP….* The touch screen is great….but …. are you really going to use it? Really? After the first 48 hours?* Windows 8…. Let me be clear about Windows 8. It’s not the greatest, but you’ll be ok. Heck, you might even like it after a while.* The Keyboard and mouse are cheap cheap cheap.* There are no recovery disks, or Certificates of Authenticity. All of that info is stored on your motherboard, in your bios…but the recovery disks? Make a copy using the tool in the computer. Otherwise when your hard drive dies (and it will) you’ll have to buy recovery disks from HP.SHORT AND SWEET: All in Ones are expensive. This one is acceptable, but you’re making concessions, for sure!
Does not have wireless keyboard or mouse I was expecting this computer to be entirely wireless, however it is not. That is the only disappointment I have. This screen is large and impressive. Windows 8 operating system is more difficult to use and takes time to learn however has a lot of new options. Very easy to install – less than two minutes including opening the box. just plug it in and peel off the stickers. configures to your wireless internet easy and on its own. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a new computer – great value! Especially for students. Cant beat the $599 price line.
First, let me give the two biggest complaints out of the way; the keyboard is cheap, and the mouse is cheap. Other than that it is a awesome computer for a fantastic price!First off, it looks really nice. The screen is huge, and quite clear. It has nice, solid sound. It can get loud, so no need for external speakers. It’s not exactly surround sound, but still sound great. The touch-screen is great. You can easily alternate between using the touch screen and the mouse/keyboard. You can also easily switch to the classic “desktop” look if you so choose with the click of the button. I prefer the giant tablet look. The touchscreen also works great with the games my three children (all under 10) play.It is ready to use straight out of the box. Just plug it in, and you are ready to go. Zero skills needed. My family uses this machine like most I suppose. Using the internet, and typing stuff up (kids school reports, letters, whatever), and a few games here and there. What more do you need? Seriously. It even has a dvd/cd player on the side.I looked at many similar all-in-one desktops and laptops, and for the look and the price, this machine can’t be beat. I am very happy with the purchase, and have no second thoughts. I would certainly buy this same machine if I had to do it over again.
