Why Is My Computer Running So Slow
When you want to buy a new computer, I believe that you would not ask for one that is slow in its functions will you? With the vast advancement in technology, we are now very much dependant on our machine counterparts however sometimes things do not always go in our way and our computers do fail us from time to time. Like any other machinery, they will not be able to maintain their peak performance for as long as we want them to. The question we then ask is, “why is my computer running so slow?”
There are actually numerous reasons why your computer may be functioning so slowly.
Corrupted Registry
The registry is something that most computer users do not look into as we often miss it out when we are finding out what is wrong with our computers. The registry contains many important files and registry keys are the keys to how your computer is going to function however with time, these keys actually get ruined due to corruption or the files get missing. Also, as new entries are entered and old entries are erased, the deleted entries may disappear from your desktop, but they still remain in your registry. Thus, your computer slows down while trying to go past these false entries. The only way to solve this problem is to get a registry cleaner to flush out all the corrupted and missing files.
Virus or Spyware
Another possible cause for your computer’s slow performance is because it has spyware or viruses in its system. Actually, viruses and spyware can do even more damage than just slowing down your computer as it can also delete important data which you need. On top of that, viruses can and will leave behind false registry keys that slows down your computer.
Multiple Programs
Most of us do not really have time to complete all our work in the time allocated to us, as such we resort to having to multi-task in an attempt to complete everything given to us in the shortest period of time. Thus, we try to open multiple programs at once when we are on the computer, trying to chat with our friends while doing our work and surfing the net all at the same time. How can you expect your computer to function properly like this? Imagine if you were to do that in your real life, trying to juggle work, home and the laundry? You may cry for help but computers cannot, and their only response is to overload.
Both us and our machine counterparts have our limits so we should not expect our computers to be extraordinary and be able to function at their best all the time. If you want the best from your computer, you also have to provide the best care for it. Send it for regular checkups and also have it scanned regularly for viruses and also download the latest software cleaners to flush out unwanted stuff from your computer. That will be how you keep your computer from letting you down when you need them.
