Hydrogen Gas Saver - Installing A Hydrogen Conversion Kit
If you have an interest in cars, enjoy tinkering with your engine, and are good with basic tools and mechanics, installing a hydrogen gas saver system could be an option for you. The main benefit of installing such a system is increased gas mileage but you may also see lower carbon monoxide emissions, and reduced operating costs.
There are several paths you can take to your first hydrogen gas saver system. You can purchase plans to build your own system either from items easily obtained from automotive supply stores and home improvement type stores to items found at specialty distributors. Materials and equipment costs for DIY kits range from approximately two hundred dollars to several thousand dollars. Detailed instructions for putting together these types of “water for gas” kits are readily available for purchase online.
Hydrogen gas saver modification kits are primarily small hydrogen plants for producing hydrogen from water in your vehicle, thereby earning its’ nickname of water for gas. This type of installation usually requires using water and can generate hydrogen gas from the water using electricity from the vehicle’s charging system. Water molecules contain hydrogen gas and oxygen gas in the chemical form H2O. Hydrogen is separated from water and is then added to the air fuel mixture already introduced into your vehicle through the induction system. Hydrogen gas saver kits or systems of this category are suitable for vehicles from all terrain vehicles such as ATV’s to yachts.
If you really want to invest in a hydrogen gas saver but the do-it-yourself way is not your cup of tea, you can just as easily find deluxe models on the market. Typically, the manufacturer or a licensed professional can install a high-end hydrogen gas saver system in your vehicle.
It is hard to find installation centers for hydrogen gas saver vehicle conversions in areas without access to a hydrogen fueling station or production facility. If there is not an installation center nearby, you can contact the installation center closest to you and get information on where the nearest center is located or details on how to ship your vehicle to that particular installation center. Many installation kits also list people that can make and install systems if you decide this is the option for you.
Even though the company offering a kit or installation instructions to convert your car’s fueling system to the hydrogen gas saver might claim that installation will not affect your car’s manufacturer warranty, make sure you call or otherwise speak with the dealer who sold the car to you, or even the main office of your car’s manufacturer. Make sure to get any statements in writing to protect yourself.
No matter what type of installation you choose, converting your vehicle’s fuel to a hydrogen gas saver model can be the right choice for your wallet and the environment. Certain kits might even qualify for a tax credit from the IRS when tax time rolls around putting even more money in your pocket.
