A couple years ago, I attended a football game at Bronco stadium in Boise - BSU vs. San Diego State.
I remember that night like it was yesterday. I was sitting in the southeast corner of the stadium. The temperature was about 5 degrees F, and there was a 15 or 20 MPH wind blowing. As I stared at the flag across the way from me, it looked like that piercing wind was blowing directly at me.
In other words - it was cold. (Like – Lambeau Field in Green Bay cold).
Believe it or not, the only thing that kept me there for the duration of the game was my “electric socks”. The socks provided a kind of cascading effect for the rest of my body (at least mentally). My feet were warm, which kept my legs from freezing, and I could at least imagine that the rest of me was warm.
What would it have been like if those electric socks were around my torso? That thought crossed my mind at least once. Later, I discovered what I really needed was Fyre, a new clothing line developed specifically for cold weather activities.
Curious about what I’m talking about? Well, after learning about this innovative product, I had a few questions for Arianna, the CEO of Fyre.
What is Fyre?
Fyre is the first auto-regulating heated apparel line that constantly adapts to your environment to keep you at your perfect temperature.
How did the idea come about?
We thought of Fyre one day in an over-air-conditioned office. We imagined how awesome it would be for fashionable clothes to be able to keep us warm.
This was the start of our quest to produce Fyre!
Fyre seems like a really cool idea. How does it work?
Fyre uses similar technology to a thermostat to track the ambient temperature and act accordingly to keep you at the temperature you like most.
Is it safe? It can’t shock me, can it?
Fyre is very safe and it is even machine washable.
I see it uses a battery. How long does the battery last?
The battery will last roughly 3-4 hours.
That should be enough for a football game. What happens if the battery runs down?
You can easily swap in another Fyre battery or charge your battery that has run out of juice.
The Fyre battery can also be used to charge your smartphone.
I do a lot of other winter activities. Does moisture affect its performance?
Moisture will not affect Fyre’s performance which is why it is even machine washable.
I see there’s a phone app. What does it do?
The app allows you change Fyre’s temperature easily and even allows voice commands in case you are wearing gloves outside.
I’m pretty much sold. Where will I be able to get a Fyre jacket?
The best place to get it is on Indiegogo right NOW!
The prices are way lower than they will be at retail (up to 45% off!).
That sounds great. Where can I get more information?
You can get more information by visiting our Indiegogo page here: 19e.fnd.to/fyre
So there you have it. An ideal solution for those of us who engage in cold weather activities, but don’t want to be burdened by layers and layers of bulky clothing.
Runners and cyclists - you can start out warm, and then as your core temperature warms up, you can lower the temperature to suit. Skiers - stay warm under a lightweight ski jacket. And, don’t suffer the next time you have to attend a sporting event in freezing cold weather.
I think it’s time to add Fyre to your Winter Activities!
