Issue by anthony d: Which cell phone “sounds” the best, like , “land-line” sort quality?
Lots of buzz out there with I-mobile phone, Blackjack, Q, Blackberry, and what have you, but does any individual know which cell mobile phone out there truly has superior sonund high quality? Forget about about MP3, video, E-mail, and Texting. I’m talkin’ a cell that might sound like a land line, when somebody your speaking to may well say, “Your’e on a cell? Truly???”

Honestly, if the only feature that you are concerned with is voice quality, it has MUCH more to do with the service provider and the network than it does with the telephone itself. Think Verizon!
Don’t think Verizon! For sound quality, think T-Mobile. Why? They use a full-rate codec. That is to say that they give more bandwidth to each call. AT&T uses AMR Half-Rate in most markets – which sounds terrible, and all CDMA carriers (Verizon, Sprint, Alltel) use Qualcomm EVRC – which is clear but kinda funny sounding and it has intense unrealistic background noise removal (which is how it can be clear at such a low bitrate – 8kbps). T-Mobile still uses EFR (enhanced full rate) in most (if not all) markets.
Then you need a phone with a good microphone and speaker to get that quality. Honestly, I’d go with a Motorola RAZR on T-Mobile if sound quality is numero uno to you.
