Sometimes, the best things in life are free. With the “open source” revolution going on, it has now become popular to give things out for free for others to build upon, rather than charge for a certain service or product. MySpace layouts are no different, as some of the best new layouts are now being offered completely free.

As most MySpace layouts are indeed free, the question arises as to what anyone would do with a paid MySpace layout. There are indeed situations where a paid MySpace layout is necessary. A business, proprietorship, artisan, or even just a creative individual may opt to get a paid MySpace layout, as this usually means that better quality is observed. However, free MySpace layouts are in most cases the better decision.

The free MySpace layout has evolved over the years- with some very intriguing upgrades along the way. Flash can be used to help make a website, thanks to Macromedia’s flagship product that enables all types of artists to make stunning animations and effects with a truly innovative product. Flash can create some very visually stunning profiles- and if one searches the right places, these are completely free.

Even in the midst of paying and obtaining MySpace layouts, there is some thought to keep in mind. Not every paid MySpace layout will be as good as a free one, and vice versa. The real moral of the story is that free MySpace layouts are often no different than paid alternatives- meaning you may be better off siding with free alternatives.

The best thing about free MySpace layouts for designers is the fact that they can be expanded upon. Many MySpace layouts can be a chore to code initially- meaning that designers have to go through the whole process over again when creating a new MySpace layout. In this case, it’s best to get a “skeleton” MySpace layout that allows for designers to expand on the layout’s design and get to the fun part of designing a MySpace layout- all for free!

Most of the users of MySpace will never even have to think about paying for a MySpace layout, as the vast majority of the mare completely free. This does, however, come with slight negativity. Many free MySpace layout websites will include an ad or two in the layout, and then demand that users do not remove the ad. This is usually more than worth the exceptional design that the resource distributes- although it’s never pleasant to have an ad on one’s profile.

Closing Comments

It doesn’t take much to find a MySpace layout- and it is just as easy to find a free MySpace layout. What MySpace users have to gain from paid alternatives is very little, especially when concerning the fact that a little editing on the user’s part can make any free layout just as unique and interesting as paid routes. It just goes to show that a little work can go a long way, and the best things in life are free.
