Pyrex Prepware 2-Cup Measuring Cup, Clear with Red Measurements
Pyrex Prepware 2-Cup Measuring Cup, Clear with Red Measurements

jeffnick 1-cup or so This is a great cup, except for one little thing: the measurements are wrong! 1 cup, according to this measuring cup, is actually closer to 7/8 cup. I have compared it to older PYREX measuring cups (2 cup and 4 cup sizes), as well as to a variety of other measuring cups. The other measuring cups are all consistent, both Pyrex and non-Pyrex. But the measurements provided by this 1-cup Pyrex cup are consistently too low. What is most astonishing to me is that none of the other reviewers has remarked about this. I hope that others will now test their own cups - it would be nice to know whether perhaps Pyrex's 1-cup measuring cups in general are okay, and I happened to end up with the lone defective unit. My measuring technique: I use the bottom of the meniscus (the curve in the surface of the liquid), which is how I was taught to do it in Chemistry and Biology laboratories. I have also compared the weights of 1 cup of room temperature water, as determined on a digital cooking scale, and found the weight of this cup's contents to be less than that of a cup as measured by other measuring cups.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (7-Inch, Gold-Brown)
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (7-Inch, Gold-Brown)

Daisy S "Daisy S" Samsung Tab 3 7.0 WiFi - Very Detailed Review Regarding The Features of This Tablet Having owned many tablets including the Tab 2 line of 7.0 and 10.1, I recently found that I carry around the seven size and the eight size for greater portability. After purchasing the Tab 3 8.0, which is superb, I also wanted a smaller, more pocketable form factor of this tablet. Since I am a techie, I have tested this tablet in many areas. It is my goal to report to you the many uses of this tablet so that you can make the best possible choice. Yes, it serves my everyday basic computer functions at home and on the road as it is thinner then the old Tab 2 7.0, and I just place it into my bag and go.Note that this is a VERY COMPACT Tablet - one that will fit into a smaller bag, briefcase, purse and even a larger pocket.SUGGESTION: If you already have a phone for making phone calls and don't want a data plan, but need a small/portable/lightweight tablet to carry along so you can use WiFi to get onto the Internet (and don't have to get a data plan), consider this tablet. Below, my findings on PROS and on CONS...PROS:- Overall Speed, Performance, and OS Info:The processor has a faster 1.2 GHz, which I find much faster than my Tab 2 7.0 model. The OS is 4.1.2, yet I find super peppy and functions quite well on this device. Very, very smooth to operate and I find the speed is faster than my old Tab 2 7.0.- SCREEN SIZE/CLARITY OF SCREEN /IMPROVEMENTS OF SCREEN DESIGN/CASE/STAND INFO:7 Inch Size - For me, I find the 7 inch size quite refreshing because it is larger than say a "mega" phone of say 5 inches to 6 inches. Note that the PPI (the higher the PPI, the clearer the screen is) score on this is 170 (same as old Tab 2 7.0). In my opinion, the screen is very bright, clear and sharp. And colors are vivid.Improvements of the Screen Design: The soft back key and the menu key used to be on the viewing screen. Now they are below the viewing screen on the Tab 3 and BEST of all, there is a physical HOME BUTTON. Press it to go back to the Home Screen from anywhere. Or you can press it to wake up the screen. Some people complain of the soft keys not lighting up. So I found a fix for that: Practice this about 4 times: press the back key and then the menu key to get used to the positions. You will memorize them and press them as needed without having to think about it sooner than you think.*To protect your tablet and screen and for ease of viewing the tablet, may I suggest purchasing a MoKo Stand/Cover for Tab 3 7.0. For me, MoKo is great quality and works great. Amazon sells these and they are quite reasonable. - EXTERNAL SLOT FOR MICRO SD CARD - What a great feature as you can add a 64gb SD card for personal files, this is an upgrade from the 32gb in the Tab 2 line. For me, I placed a 32g in mine for music, files etc. Note that this was one of the deciding factors that sold me on this tablet. *Keep in mind where External SD cards are concerned: They are JUST for your personal files: music, videos, photos, and other files. When you install apps from the Playstore or other sources, they store either in INTERNAL SD Card area or the main internal area. This is the law of the land where Android is concerned and ALL newer Android devices (including Samsung) work this way where storing your downloaded apps are concerned.- WiFi Connecting/Speed of WiFi - Setting up WiFi and keeping a great signal and long distance WiFi strong signal is one superb feature on this tablet. At home or on the road, I am able to connect to many free WiFi hotspots very easily with great signal strength.*The speed of WiFi connection has been superb using this tablet at home or in a hot spot WiFi area, in fact I found it to be VERY, VERY FAST SPEED!- Internet/Watching Online Flash Videos: After I installed Adobe Archived Flash I can watch internet (flash) videos directly (including Amazon videos) directly from STOCK BROWSER. Because this is archived flash it does take a little longer to load flash videos. If you need instructions on how to do this, please ask in the comments and I will answer this or any questions.*Viewing of webpages in browsers on this tablet: Reading/viewing a webpage is OUTSTANDING using this tablet as the fonts, pictures and videos are very crisp and clear as well as the colors are very vivid.*There is a free app in Playstore called KeepScreen so you can watch an entire movie or long video without the tablet timing out (black screen). Ask in comments for more information...- Reading/Creating/Editing Word, Excel, Text Files and much more on this tablet: This comes with a OK app for reading Office documents, but you cannot create or edit them on that. Therefore, I installed a FREE APP called Kingsoft Office from the Playstore (it reads, edits and creates Office files and reads PDF files). This app is a MUST have for tablet owners in my opinion.- Home Videos - The stock video player...

Garmin Forerunner 10 GPS Watch (Black/Sliver)
Garmin Forerunner 10 GPS Watch (Black/Sliver)

Tim Eckel Much better with average pace, but still some broken features. I'm a long-time Garmin Forerunner user. My first was the 305 and I now use the 310XT as I do ultra-distance marathons and Ironman distance triathlons. I got the Forerunner 10 for my wife, which is about perfect for her. She's under 5 foot with small wrists so the size of the Forerunner 10 is perfect. The simplicity is also very welcome. Nothing fancy, just start, stop, just as she wants. The lime green color is also a huge bonus for her.I used her Forerunner 10 a couple times and she's had it for a couple weeks now. Now for the problems, which there are only two.First, the missing lap pace and average pace display. While the current pace is fairly accurate, but it doesn't replace the need to know your AVERAGE pace over the entire run and your average pace for the current lap. This is really vital information for any runner doing say a half marathon that's looking to finish at a certain time. I figured the virtual pacer would solve this problem. But, it still only shows your current pace vs. what you set for your virtual pace. It should show you how far ahead or behind you are compared to your virtual pacer. Basically, the virtual pacer is useless, as it just shows your current pace, just as the pace field does. The only time you can actually get an average pace is at the end of a mile (lap) where it displays the average for that mile. This dove-tales into the second problem...Secondly, the beeper is VERY quiet. My wife cannot hear it at all while running unless she puts the watch against her ear. This is important because to know your average pace for the last mile, you need to catch it right at the time the mile (lap) ends. It only displays the lap time for a few seconds. If you can't hear it beep, you can't really get your mile pace. My hope is that she'll become accustomed to the beep frequency and be able to hear it. But, it's still really quiet and at a high frequency which is much more difficult to hear than my 305 or 310XT.My hope is that Garmin will realize they missed a few things and a firmware update will address it. As it is now, I can't recommend this to anyone looking to run in any type of race where you're trying to hit a goal time. Or even training where you're trying to run at a specific average page, as you have basically no clue as to what your average pace is. And even with the Virtual Pacer, you have no idea if you need to slow down or speed up to hit your goal. All you know is your CURRENT pace, which is about worthless when trying to hit a goal time or pace. I'll change my review and rating if Garmin fixes things with firmware update.** 11/27/12 UPDATE **Still no firmware update from Garmin to fix the problems with this. Wife is okay with the limitations, but hopeful that Garmin will fix things. I've received many firmware updates to my other Garmin GPS watches, so I'm hopeful the problems will be addressed in fairly short order. Garmin, if you're reading this, here's what your new firmware should fix:1) Beep for lap needs to be more like the beep for the Virtual Pacer. The lap beep is just too quiet to hear while running. The Virtual Pacer beep is obnoxiously loud, so I know it's possible.2) Virtual Pacer is worthless. It doesn't show if you're ahead or behind your pace plan, just if you're CURRENTLY running faster or slower. This is the same information you get if looking at your current pace. The Virtual Pacer needs to show your current AVERAGE page from the start, and if you're behind or ahead of this AVERAGE pace. This is the way the Virtual Pacer function works for every other Garmin watch.3) You can set to display pace on the display panels, but both of the pace options are instant pace. There's no lap pace or average pace option. You really have no idea what your average pace is till you're done with your run. Works fine for training, but try hitting a goal time in a half or full marathon if you have no idea what your average pace is till the race is over. Just a few quick water stops and you're never going to know what pace you should be running at. This dovetails with the Virtual Pacer, as that also doesn't show what you should be doing to hit your goal finishing time.I'm a long time Garmin owner, owned the 205, 305, 310XT, and now the 10 (my wife's first Garmin). I'm an ultra marathoner (up to 50 miles) and Ironman, who does around 8 marathons or longer a year. I always wear my Garmin and have for several years. My point is that I know what I'm talking about. I've always been very happy with all my Garmin watches. This is the first time where it appears that whoever designed the watch software wasn't a runner. They added all the features requested, but not correctly. Feel free to contact me if you need any clarification.** 04/17/13 UPDATE **The software update adds the much needed average pace...

Swiss+Tech ST66676 Utili-Key 6-in-1 Key Ring Multi-Function Tool
Swiss+Tech ST66676 Utili-Key 6-in-1 Key Ring Multi-Function Tool

D. Smith High quality unobtrusive utility gadget When I first noticed the Utili-Key at my retailer, I thought the $10 price was a little high for something so small and simple, but the stainless steel finish seemed well done, and it looked like a high-quality tool so I bought it anyway. I have since found out that the tool also comes in a gold color (titanium nitride) at some retailers. Now that I've had it for a while, it seems well worth the money. This product was made in China and unfortunately I have seen some low quality steel tools that were made there, thankfully this one is an exception. The tool opens and closes precisely and seems to have tight tolerances. The serration's on the lower knife portion seem to have been carefully cut. It looks as though one side of the Utili-Key is slightly more polished than the other, probably for marketing reasons as the more jeweled side was facing up in the retail box. This is a minor point as the other side still looks just fine. When I first bought the Utili-Key, it was not clear to me that it would open up a full 180 degrees. That would have been okay since the tool is completely functional when opened 90 degrees. There are no springs involved, and it appears to be made of out of exactly 3 pieces of steel. It clicks into either of the two open positions with a bit of pressure and stays in place fairly well, but it is not locked into position which means that it can still close up on your finger if not used carefully. The knife is very sharp and it could cause an accidental injury during the use of the philips part of the tool since the blade is opposite the philips head. The tool is so small and unobtrusive that I cannot imagine why anyone would not want to have the easy convenience of it right on the old key-ring. The length of it is just slightly shorter than the ignition key for my vehichle. Even if you carry other types of multi-tools or a pocket knife, it would be worthwhile to have this in case you forget your other stuff.I really enjoy discovering clever well made products and this one is a keeper.

Tom "TAC" Pretty slick. After reading a review I wasn't sure if this thing was going to workout, but I threw the dice. I must say I am happy with my purchase. I put all stuff that was in the various pockets of my backpack in/on the Cocoon and it slides right in the notebook slot in the pack. Big question when originally ordering was what size to get. The 12x8 is a good size to start with.

Big Mouth Toys The Prescription Coffee Mug

Sara O Cute, but not the best quality I am a pharmacist and ordered two of these mugs as gifts for co-workers (a pharmacist and a pharmacy student). Both mugs came well-packaged in a cardboard box with a clear plastic front that you could gift wrap if desired. Unfortunately, I had to exchange one of the mugs because the words on the "label" were so badly smeared and crooked that they were illegible. The mug also had a sizable chip out of the bottom edge. The other mug looked fine except for the label being slightly crooked. However, it was not very noticeable so I decided to keep it. Amazon replaced the damaged mug immediately, and while the replacement mug is much better, it is still not good quality. The bottom edge is very rough and I worry that it will scratch any surface it is set on. These mugs are definitely cute and a great gift for the drug-pushers in your life, however, the quality is not consistent.

Paul Renwick Awesome portable power supply. For those readers that are reading this review on the Item page, this review is for the Astro3E 10000mAh charger. Since Amazon mixes reviews with all different "variants" of a product, and this comes in multiple capacities, this makes it hard to separate reviews. This product does what it advertises, and does it VERY well. It comes with a nice mesh case which I carry it in constantly, and a nice little coiled USB cord with a few tips. While these aren't compatible with every device I own, I use it mainly to charge my phone, which is MicroUSB and included. Some devices I have tried charging: - I own a Motorola Droid 4, and I have charged the phone from dead to full over 4 times on a single charge. Android and Apple ports work, but on the Android port, the Droid 4 actually charges FASTER than the stock plug-in charger. My phone does not seem to mind. - An LG Ally charges on either port, but faster on the Android port. - A Nintendo DS Lite (with a compatible USB cord) charges on either port. - An iPod Nano 6th Generation charges on the Apple port. It does not respond on the Android port. I have charged this device from dead to full, and did lose enough capacity on the battery for it to register.I will update this review with more results as I charge more devices. I'm going on a few flights in the next couple of months, so this charger will gets LOTS of use.
